Admission Process

ADMISSION PROCESS

GEMS School is open for children of all religions and races, however priority admission is given first to Christian families, siblings of present students and to residents of the local area (Maniknagar, Golapbagh, Saidabad, Dhopur, Wari, Gopibag). Please note that places are also given to students waiting in classes below.

We accept children of all levels of academic achievement and ability (including physical ability). We accept up to but not over 30 students per class. This is to ensure a quality education for each student with sufficient attention from the teacher(s).

The Principal is the final authority for admission, and will always keep in mind the aim of excellent education for the whole class, and not just the student applying.

One month’s notice is required in writing or one month’s fees in lieu thereof before withdrawal of a child during the school year. A bond of 2 months fees will be taken at the time of admission and returned one month after the notice of withdrawal is given. A small fee will be taken for the Transfer Certificate.

We do not accept bribes for admission. A waiting list of students for admission is kept of up to 6 names, this is strictly adhered to and will be kept serially. If a place becomes available the next name on the list will be given priority.
